TWO LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT
Passengers can also benefit from the two different luggage compartments, with 5.2 cubic feet of space available in the front area and 4.4 cubic feet available in the rear. The German luxury carmaker Porsche presents the 718 Boxster , the new generation of its entry-level model that has as its main novelty the introduction of new turbocharged four-cylinder engines. From now on, the Boxster and its respective coupe – Cayman – now adopt the numerical designation 718, which refers to the models of competition of the brand with motors four cylinders decades of 1950 and 1960. At the heart of the new 718 models there is a newly designed four-cylinder engine available in two displacements, 2.0-liter and 2.5-liter. The same units must later equip the Macan SUV. In the access model, the 718 Boxster adopts a 2.0-liter 300-horsepower and 380-nm maximum torque available from 1,950 rpm at 4,500 rpm, representing gains of 35 and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft), respectively, over or 2.7L suction six cylinder engine happens. When combined with the optional dual-clutch PDK transmission and the Sport Chrono package, the Porsche 718 Boxster’s access model accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.7 seconds, 0.8 seconds faster than the predecessor, to achieve 275 km / h of maximum speed.
The 718 Boxster S receives the largest displacement engine: 2.5 liters with variable geometry turbine that offers 350 horsepower and 420Nm from 1,900 rpm to 4,500 rpm, offering an increase of 35 horsepower and 60nm, respectively, over the aspirated 3,4L six cylinders of the previous Boxster S. According to Porsche, when combined with the PDK transmission and the Sport Chrono kit, this model reaches 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds (0.6 seconds faster) and reaches a top speed of 285 km / h. The new engines are not only more powerful but also more efficient – according to the manufacturer up to 13% more economical. Both versions come with a six-speed manual transmission as standard. Optionally there is the upgraded dual-clutch PDK transmission that now has “virtual gears for fuel economy” and allows the system to associate two adjacent gears to create an intermediate gear with the goal of further increasing energy efficiency at class c rv covers for sale.

Porsche 718 Boxster – interior
In the aesthetic question, the front of the 718 Boxster “has been completely revised, except the luggage compartment covers, the windscreen and the convertible top.” Porsche 718 Boxster– interior The 718 looks sharper and has more contemporary details, such as the new LED flashlights with a more stylish design, while the German interior gave the model a new steering wheel and the latest generation of its PCM infotainment system, complete with a new touchscreen .
Last breath of the Porsche Boxster aspirated
Brand sells copies of the GTS version, with instigating engine and sporty snoring, before the arrival of the turbo At first accelerated, it promises to be a big disappointment. The acceleration is too gradual, and the impression is that the car is slow to respond. The secret, however, soon comes to the fore: the Porsche Boxster GTS, which sells for $ 454,000, is an old-fashioned sports car, of which the six-cylinder, aspirated 3.4-liter boxer in their fullness to the highest turns. That with a heart-pounding noise. Behavior quite different from that seen in turbo propellers, more common in today’s luxury car brands – even in sports cars.
The Boxster GTS, by the way, is one of the last remnants with aspirated propellant. The new generation of the car arrives in Brazil at the end of this semester and will bring turbo engines. For now, the GTS version has not yet come, as it has not been shown even in Europe. However, it is no longer produced, and there are few copies in stock in Brazilian dealerships. The power of the propeller does not impress much: they are 330 hp at 7,400 rpm. But we are talking about a small car – 4.4 meters long – and light – 1,375 kilos. The weight-to-power ratio is very low, of 4.08 kg / hp. In addition, the torque is high, of 37.7 mkgf, and is available only from 4,500 rpm. And it is from the 3,500 turns on that this convertible sports car begins to show the one that came. At that speed, the pressure on the accelerator makes the car gain speed very quickly – and one with the instigating snore typical of sports cars. If the driver prefers, you can activate the Sport Plus mode on the center console. By pressing the button, the spindle counts up to 4,000 rpm, leaving the Boxster ready for brutal acceleration and retaking. The sound emitted by the engine also gets louder – the Formula 1 cars would die of envy if they could hear that six-cylinder. The gearbox is automated with seven gears and two clutches. According to Porsche, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.7 seconds and reaches top speed of 279 km / h.
In addition to the engine responses, the driving mode – between the normal and the Sport Plus, there is an intermediate, called Sport – also change the chassis responses. Stability, by the way, is another highlight of the sport. A number of factors contribute to this good performance: in addition to having low center of gravity, the GTS brings electronic controls and 20 “wheels with thin tires. Even so, it is not an uncomfortable car. At least in normal driving and Sport modes, the driver does not really feel the impacts with imperfect floors. You can ride with the model on a day-to-day basis without feeling too tired, although the power steering is tougher than conventional cars. The canvas roof can be electrically folded, in simple operation, giving more charm to the sport. Inside, the sports seats and the combination of leather and Alcantara in the finish are striking. Typical feature of the GTS line – which is also in the Panamera, Cayenne and 911 -, the cabin and the exterior have several black details. The instrument panel of this Boxster is red. For easy reading, the speedometer has analogue and digital markers. Among the standard items, there are directional LED headlamps and multimedia system with medium-sized center screen.

The top speed is 275 km / h The Porsche BoxsterBergspyder is a unique prototype based on the Porsche 909 competition for mountain climbing races. It never happened because it did not pass the feasibility tests of the German manufacturer.
In its eagerness to develop and produce the best vehicles on the planet, Porsche constantly uses prototypes to test the light construction potential of the current generation of its sports cars. A prototype specially designed for this study was the Boxster, the two-seater cabriolet of the Stuttgart-based firm. For 2015, the Porsche Executive Board commissioned a group of engineers from Weissach to build a sports car based on the 981 generation of the Boxster and to be as light and minimal as possible. Taking as a basis the design and some of the specifications of the mythical Porsche 909 – with a weight of only 384 kg -, the people of Porsche designed that Boxster to image and semjenza of what is still its lightest model and whose goal was to win in the mountain climb races. The result was the Porsche BoxsterBergspyder and for the color, it was decided to keep the colors of the 909; white with some elements in green. The BoxsterBergspyder looked like a racing car of the last century, with a single seat, without handles or windscreens. As with the Porsche mountain climbs of the late 1960s, there was only a flat, transparent wind deflector that extended around the driver and ended at the doors. The team of engineers and designers created a cover that stretched from the windshield to the engine compartment as a tribute to the Porsche 356 Speedster of 1954.
Initially, the cabin was made with synthetic leather, and later, it was thought to introduce carbon fiber. The instrument panel underwent a complete redesign, equipped with elements of the Porsche 918 Spyder and assembled in the style of super sports. The seat also originated from the technology platform of the 918. The passenger door could be opened, with another luggage compartment hidden behind it to provide space for the helmet, a removable cover for the driver’s seat and additional luggage. Thus, the BoxsterBergspyder only had a weight of 1,099 kilograms and that, with the boxer engine of 387 HP of power from the Cayman GT4 , it gave an amazing weight-to-weight ratio of 2.8 kg per CV. So this prototype could do 0 to 100 km / h in less than four seconds. After having studied the possible sales of this prototype in different markets, Porsche abandoned the project, exhibiting the model in the development center of Weissach before being finely transferred to the Porsche Museum. The BoxsterBergspyder will be shown to the public for the first time during the 2019 edition of the mountain climb of Gaisberg, Austria.View Details
